Custom Wheel-Building
We are in the wheel-building business! With all the 29ers flying out the door, Sam has been busy building wheels with Stan's ZTR 355 29er rims and your choice of hub. We have used DT Swiss, WTB, Chris King, American Classic and Hope hubs with great success! We use only the best DT Revolution spokes in black or silver. All of our wheels are hand-built and tensioned by Sam. Call us for a quote today!

The Tanasi Trail System
The Tanasi Trail System at the Ocoee Whitewater Center is one of the best mountain locations in the Southeast. This trail system is located just 10 minutes from our shop and features thirty miles of single track trails and over 100 miles of forest service roads, making this a destination that can please all cyclists from beginner to expert.

Rhododendron Trail Loop
Parking can be had at the Ocoee Whitewater Center, where you can visit the WWC itself, acquire trail maps, and enjoy the scenery, and the beautiful Ocoee River. There is a $3.00 parking fee at this location. You can also park one mile past the WWC at the Thunder Rock Campground at the Day Use area. There is no fee at this location. Once at Thunder Rock, get on your bike and head back towards the bridge. Turn right on the trial next to the fence housing power equipment. This is a 1.25 mile crushed gravel trail along the Ocoee River. The end of the trail puts you in the picnic area of the WWC. Continue next to the river, eventually picking up an asphalt sidewalk to the footbridge leading to the WWC building. When you cross the bridge you will see a paved ramp to the right that takes you to the parking lot. Follow the parking lot to the end where you will find a biking / hiking lane next to Hwy. 64 that will take you all the way back to the bridge accessing Thunder Rock Campground. This is a 3 ¼ mile loop.

Brush Creek Trail
This is probably the most popular trail of the Tanasi system. Seven mile length and parking at both ends. Starting at the Brush Creek bridge parking lot, ( 2 miles east of the WWC) access to the trail starts out the back of the lot and is short distance to the trail itself. Trail goes under the Brush Creek bridge, and at the .7 mile mark, the trail T’s. Turn left (sign towards Boyd Gap) The next 6 miles feature some sweet flowing, rolling, fast trail, occasionally overlooking Ocoee #3 Lake. At the six mile mark is a 1 mile climb to Boyd Gap Scenic Overlook. If you want to avoid this climb, simply turn around here. At the beginning of the climb, Boyd Gap spur starts on the left. This adds .3 mile of trail, has less gradient and avoids several switchbacks. The spur rejoins original Trail shortly before Terminus. From Boyd gap it is downhill on Hwy. 64 back to Brush Creek Bridge parking.

Multi-Trail Loop
Starting at Thunder Rock campground, climb Forest Service road #45 one mile. Turn left on Poplar Hollow. At end turn right on Chestnut Mountain Loop. You will have a half mile climb, go around a gate and turn left on Quartz Loop. You will go across power lines to the loop. ( this is generally ridden clockwise) Come back toward power lines and turn left on 1330 by-pass. About a mile mostly downhill brings you to FS #1330. Turn right a short ways to the River View Trail on the left. 3.4 miles of great single track. At the intersection midway stay right on spur. Trail ends back on FS#1330. Turn right down to Chestnut Mtn. Loop on left. This trail has some narrow and rocky parts, and also three shallow stream crossings. About three miles of this brings you to the Thunder Rock Express on the right. 1 ½ miles of fairly steep and rocky trail, including two wooden bridges that can be very slippery when wet. Ends on FS#45 a short distance from Thunder Rock campground. This loop is about 15 miles total.
